The County Clerk issues vehicle title and registration; collects sales tax on exchange of boats between individuals and provides forms for boat registration from the state; issues hunting and fishing licenses; issues marriage licenses. The County Clerk keeps the Morgan County Commission Minutes and maintains a permanent record of Morgan County Commission meetings and records various Committee meetings. She also collects Notary Public commission of $12.00 (applicant must have bond and be approved by Morgan County Commission); takes applications for beer licenses ($250 initial fee). Payments are accepted via cash, check, or credit/debit card. The County Clerk's Office is on the first floor of the Courthouse. The County Clerk is elected to a four-year term.
